Anyone using sguil on Gentoo? I'm curious how smooth it is

I'm curious if anyone out there is using sguil on Gentoo, and has used the install via emerge/portage? If so, I'd like to hear about your experiences with it; I'm considering installing it, but after looking at the complexity of the sguil installation documentation I'm curious if emerge/portage were up to the task.

So, if you've tried it or are using it, please let me know. Any gotchas or tips/hints/tricks are certainly welcome too.
