Hi,
I've just bought a Compaq Presario 2144 and would like to run Gentoo.
The system works, but when I try to launch X the screen stay black with the cross in the middle.
There's no error in the log file !
I've notice that if I launch xf86cfg, the windows for configuring X appears but nothing responding (keyboard, mouse, power-button).
The only way to restart is to remove the battery and the power cable.
Does someone have an idea ?

Seems not to be related to the Radeon video, because gdm is ok, except mouse and keyboard are not responding.
