Hi! I've been attempting to get the function keys to work on my Sony VAIO SZ laptop for the past few weeks, and I keep running into a problem with the SonyPI kernel module where as soon as I press one of the function keys it begins to write out "sony/hotkey SPIC 00000001 0000003b" over and over and over. It causes my processer to go to 70-80% usage and the only way that I have found to kill it is to restart the computer. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Other than the obvious 'don't use that kernel module', no. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

Yeah, that's kind of the conclusion I'm coming to. Its just that I know that there are people for which it works, and the keys worked just fine under Windows...so I don't think that it is a hardware issue. |
