What configuration tool did you try and what did it say when it failed?

hey im not sure what config tool you mean.

Um all i did was i first emerged cups.
I tried to setup the printer in there it detcted it and everything but does not seem to print anything,

So i emerged the package net-print/hplip

and then ran the hp-setup from the command line.
which loads HPDevice Manager.
That also detected the printer but when i click next it say no pdd file found.

Is that any help at all.

i really applicate your help

Okay, your first post said 25725 B-)

Now that hplip is installed try going back to the cups web interface, remove the printer, then set it up again.
