Just in time for Halloween... a scary story about the menu item that wouldn't die!
Ok, this has actually been going on for a while, but I'm just getting around to actually doing something about it. Basically, I have two entries for KPDF in my Kicker menu, one under Graphics that works and one that's just in the top-level menu folder that doesn't work. I can't get rid of the one in the top-level folder. Worse, even though my default PDF viewer is set to be Graphics->KPDF, it tries to open the PDF with the nonexistent link. KMenuEdit can't get rid of the entry for some reason either. I've already re-merged the offending package and messed around a little in the shared KDE library folders. So, where do I go next? |

I have this same problem. Did you find a solution? |

Hi, I had the same problem, and it seems this is due an extra file being copied into th user's own menu overlay. I simply put
Code: | rm ~/.kde3.5/share/applnk/kpdf_part.desktop |
to solve the problem. |
