i have a server with 2 ip's, say 20.20.20.20 and 30.30.30.30
apache needs to run www on both ip's, one from /site1 and the other from /var/www/localhost/htdocs.
the site one in /var/www/localhost/htdocs is simple and just needs php which is working ok.
the one in /site1 needs to run perl from both /sites1 and /site1/cgi-bin
site1 is a site i have no choice in hosting and was written over time in a kluge and needs to remain asis due to direct urls etc. (the 2nd ip will be the site replacing it one its coded)
i compiled mod_perl and that works from /var/www/localhost/cgi-bin but nowhere else
i made such a mess of the existing (borked) config, im kinda ashamed to post them 
edit, forgot to add version (apache-2.0.59-r5) |

Don't be ashamed to post configs if you need help. It's quite hard to fix otherwise 
You say you compiled mod_perl - do you mean that you emerged it or installed it by hand?
