|
|
Hi,
When using compiz-fusion I can choose between ccp and gconf in the gnome-wm file. If I chose gconf (which is what is picked when you follow the compiz-fusion instructions here because that is option 4 not option 3 (at least it was for me) I can set the option but it won't stay.
if I use ccp to set the option compiz-fusion hangs (keeping me from doing anything in the environment or with the keyboard... at least the ssh daemon still functions )
has anyone else seen this, and have an idea on how to solve it?
I checked Xorg.0.log but didn't see anything interesting
var/log/messages shows nothing interesting
dmesg show nothing interesting.
** EDIT **
I set it using the keyboard and everything worked. Then toggled it with the mouse with no problems... don't know if using the keyboard fixed anything or not... maybe it's just Compiz-fusion being temperamental anyway... setting thread to solved as I can use the plugin (and it stays now) |

When you say you enabled it by the keyboard, can you explain how?
I have the same problem and am not sure how to rectify it... _________________ Jonathan Wright (Technical Director, JAB Web Solutions)

Sorry - ignore that one.
For reference: Launch gconf-editor, and then go to '/apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options', double-click on 'active_plugins' and click on 'Add' in the new window. Enter 'resize', click OK and then OK again and close gconf-editor.
When you next restart Compiz, the resize plugin is enabled! _________________ Jonathan Wright (Technical Director, JAB Web Solutions)
