I just installed ATI 8.42.3 and wanted to start compiz-fusion.

add under ServerLayout

then if it doesnt work grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log and paste here ;)

edit: btw, compiz wont run with xorg-server-1.4 and ati-drivers-8.42.3, you must have =xorg-server-1.3*
