Salve a tutti, allora: ho deciso di mollare gentoo-sources perche avevo contrinui freeze casuali e del tutto inaspettati mentre usavo il pc...ho pensavo alla ram..all'hardware..al software..a tutto..
Sono giunto alla conclusione che la ram è sana perche' testata a dovere con memtest86+, e che il sistema era compilato in modo ottimale.
Ho decisono dunque di passare a vanilla perche avevo visto che avevano aggiornato alcune robe sata sul 2.6.24 e ho deciso allora di provare per sgombrare il campo da sospetti. Bene, con questo kernel dopo 2 giorni di up e lavoro continuo su X e compilazioni andanti e quant'altro (quindi sistema sotto sforzo) non ha ancora crashato. L'unica cosa che nn capisco è che quando accendo il pc ci mette 1 minuto buono per caricare il sata..vi posto il log:

Cioeè praticamente ci mette una vita! pero' alla fine carica...e funzia tutto alla perfezione..e per ora manco ha freezato ancora...
Dite che ho attivato qualcosa di troppo nel kernel?

qua dice che va in timeout

io controllerei se l'hd è difettoso e cmq avrei gia fatto un backup.

ho gia controllato con smartmoltool...tutto sano..nessuna incoerenza...tra l'altro ho messo il kernel 2.6.23r1 gentoo-sources e dopo 30 min è andato in panico...ora ho rimesso i vanilla e nn si blocca..
in pratica col gentoo-sources carica bene l'hdd..col vanilla macina un po...ma poi funzia bene..penso che sia dovuto al fatto che sul 2.6.24 c'erano parecchie correzioni a libata..
