I'm looking for a way to connect my laptop to my tv so I could watch whatever is on my laptop on my television set as well. I got the cables now I need the settings. I'm not sure on how to do this as I could not find any documentation of this (like a list of options that can be used with radeon) If you have such documentation somewhere I'd be happy if you would post it. If you don't but you did get it to work could you tell me how?

Thnx.

I think this is the only software that may be able to do it.

http://www.stud.uni-hamburg.de/users/lennart/projects/atitvout/

However, it may not work with your hardware and it's not currently being developed. The TV-out hardware specs are hard for open source developers to work on due to licensing and contracts that ATI has with Macrovision who puts copy protection in the signals.

It is in portage if you want to try it, emerge atitvout.

anything i try to type after atitvout returns "Illegal Instruction". Ive seen some people say that you need to be in the right atitvout directory but i cant find that. Has anyone gotten this message and/or know how to fix this problem. Thanks
