networking question : why will my router not see this gentoo box? it sees teh windows computer, and the network printer, but not the gentoo. i am trying to install a net work hp printer on the gentoo computer. i have hplip and when i run the hp setup utility, it doesn't find the printer even though i can ping the printer. also i can ping the windows computer from the gentoo box but not the other way around. both computers have internet access through the router.
appreciate any suggestions
