I'm using the 'unstable' configuration of Compiz-Fusion on Xfce4
(Yes, unstable, I realize the irony)
After updating it several plug-ins now don't work like:
- Effects > Animations
- Effects > Blur Windows
- Extras > Benchmark
- Utility > Scale Addons
- Window Management > Put
(Probably more...this list is just some of the few plug-ins that I use)
Here's the fusion-icon output
Code: | $ fusion-icon

* Searching for installed applications...
* NVIDIA on Xorg detected, exporting: __GL_YIELD=NOTHING
* Using the GTK Interface
* Starting Compiz
... executing: compiz --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp --loose-binding --indirect-rendering

The same compiz core errors recur for each plug-in.
It seems core is a required plugin for other Compiz plugins to work (I think)
I'm assuming fixing core fixes everything.
However, no problems related to compiz core are listed in the compiz bugzilla site
Also problems with this new update is a known issue in the C-F forum but it seems no one knows why there.
Does anyone know what core is or what needs to be done?
EDIT: I tried recompiling libcompizconfig which worked for someone in this post, but no luck. |

Just to subscribe, I've just started having this problem too. No upgrades that I'm aware of. Everything working dandy beforehand too. _________________ Open-mindedness is painful... |

Yeah, it became too dysfunctional so I actually uninstalled it and am back to my candy-free WM _________________ Gentoo is the stick-shift of Linux.
You work it manually, it has somewhat better performance, but it's really for the fun of it. |
