I can't seem to get Unreal Tournament 2003 to install on my Gentoo Installation. I ran the install script, linux_in.sh, and it brings up the GUI for the install. I press continue and it goes on to install a few things but then asks for the play disk. I have read that it is referring to the first disk so I umount the Disk3, and mount disk1 but when I press yes to continue it says there was "No Medium Found" I have tried it in my other CD ROM too but to no avail. Any ideas?

It says that the installer should be named linux_installer.sh and not linux_in.sh like mine is, am I using the wrong script?

looks like you need a nudge...

Q: I've just bought Unreal Tournament 2003, and i can't get it to install. The installer on the third disk asks me to install the "PLAY" disk, but no matter which disk i try, they all fail. What's wrong?

A: Note that, perhaps most importantly, the other questions about the original Unreal Tournament apply. Especially with regard to joilet support. When you mount disc 3 to look for the installer, you should see linux_installer.sh, not linux_in.sh. The option you want (as far as my 2.4.19-based system is concerned) in the kernel configuration is under "Filesystems". Enable "ISO 9660 CDROM file system support" and then "Microsoft Joliet CDROM extensions". If there is a "Rock Ridge extensions" option, enable that too.

enable joilet.

the problem is that it cant mount cdrom
i fixed when i installed scsi emulation for burning. Then i could do it. I dont know a real solution but if still need to install your burner you could use it.

Well, when I change into the cdrom directory there is the data from the disk. I have scsi emulation enabled so I could use my burner. I dunno what else I could do.

Are you using supermount, or any other mounting utilities? I had massive troubles installing on my Mandrake 9.1 box until I disabled all of the special mounting options in my fstab
