Hi all,
I have a really stupid question...
What is my problem if I can ping my loopback address and Network IP but not my own hostname? Or the router, for that matter.
I just finished doing a largish 'emerge -u'
I may have messed up a config.. but which one?
Thanks for the assist,
Mord |

check /etc/hosts and make sure that your hostname has an entry to your ip address. _________________ DKP

Thanks for the hint.
Actually, /etc/conf.d/net needed to be added with gateway info as well.
So, you solved half of my problem!
Thanks again,
