I trying to burn a CD remotely for a user that's having difficulty with xcdroast. The setup and burn process starts normally but aborts when trying to write the data. This has happened with multiple blank CDs, so it's not intermittent.

Any burning gurus out there? Here's the error output from xcdroast:

Code:

Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast-0.98/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev= "0,0,0" fs=4096k driveropts=burnproof -v -useinfo s
peed=1 -dao -eject -pad -data "/usr/cdimage/run021-023-01.img" ...

It claims the medium is incompatible, but the user claims that he was able to burn CD's before he moved the machine off-island. the CD's he's using are 700MB CD-RWs. He's using a different user accout, but xcdroast is configured to give all users permission to it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Strangely enough, removing the cd-rw drive and putting it back fixed the problem. :?

I'm having a similar problem; cold reboots (or even hot swaps) don't help:

Code:
Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast-0.98/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 gracetime=2 fs=4096k driveropts=burnfree -v -useinfo speed=4 -dao -eject -pad -data "/tmp/home.iso" ...

BURN-Free was never needed.
cdrecord: fifo had 64 puts and 1 gets.
cdrecord: fifo was 0 times empty and 0 times full, min fill was 100%.

The output for "track-at-once" instead of "disc-at-once" looks similar.

I am using CDRW media (Memorex); CD-R media in the past has worked fine.

Any ideas?
