|
|
Hi there,
I'm having 2 "problems", that are probably easy to solve :
First problem is that I can't have 2 kinds of accents in OpenOffice : the "ê" and the "ë", using a French keyboard layout.
Of course, this happens only in OpenOffice, as I could type those "e" flawlessly in Firefox or in kmail.
I don't know how to solve this problem (i didn't see any relevant option in OpenOffice).
The second problem is that when I launch kmail, I got each time "Korganizer" in my task bar, run as a demon. I don't want it, I don't use it, but I don't know how to prevent it from loading. This demon doesn't stop when closing kmail, it has to be closed each time manually, which is annoying.
Thanks for your help or hints. |

Hi!
For your first problem; have you tried to set LC_LANG and LC_ALL to "fr_FR" (in /etc/env.d/02locale)?
I.e. in /etc/env.d/02locale put:
Code: |
LC_ALL="fr_FR"
LANG="fr_FR"
|
For the second problem, I'm afraid I don't know. Hope it helps!

I didn't have a file like that in this location.
I tried to create it from scratch, then running "env-update", but nothing changed.
However, I launched Openoffice from the command line and saw that information :
Quote: | I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US"
|
This surely means that there's file somewhere that tells my Openoffice to run in US, but this file doesn't seems to be the /etc/env.d/02locale.
Could you help me a little more on that ?
Thanks a lot. |

So, when you type:
from that command-line, you get "fr_FR"? (just making sure it gets through)
