After having successfully run ATI drivers, I've got a serious problem: whenever I close X, or switch to a text console (CTRL+ALT+Fn) my system freeze and fall in a kernel panic (I suppose it's a kernel panic, because my keyboard's CAPS-LOCK and SCROLL-LOCK leds start blinking).
Any suggestions?
My configuration is on the other post, but actually I have xorg-server-1.3.0.0-r2 and ati-drivers-8.42.3 (also, compiz-fusion working fine).
Thanks a lot.

Any messages in /var/log/xorg.0.log?
Or in /var/log/messages? |

It's very likely this bug.
I'll try the workaround.
