I have the IC7-G mobo with onboard intel gigabit. With windows I use Intel's standard drivers for their gigabit desktop cards. Gentoo doesn't automaticly detect the card.

I try modprobe e100 and e1000 and I get this:

/lib/modules/2.4.20-xfs-r2/kernel/drivers/net/e1000/e1000.o: init_module: No such device

and in /proc/pci its there:

Bus 2, device 1, function 0:
Ethernet controller: PCI device 8086:1019 (Intel Corp.) (rev 0).
IRQ 5
blah
bleh
meh

lspci:

02:01.0 Ethernet Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 1019

any ideas? a search on abit's forums finds nothing
