Hi folks,
i have an Ultra5 and i like to populate it with stuff. Now i bought a nice PCI-to-PCMCIA card which works great on x86, and which is correctly recognized on my Ultra5. I want to use it because i want to plug in my Ultra5 a UMTS access card and go online using my UMTS data plan. The PCMCIA UMTS card is fully supported nativaly by Linux.
I found that no PCMCIA stack is available in any sparc kernel (vanilla, gentoo or sparc-sources). My question is... why? is there a reason for that?
I have a fully working PCI bus and a working PCI-PCMCIA adapter, also there are out there some PCMCIA SBUS adapters, so i guess PCMCIA should work on sparc. Why no support in the linux kernel? (2.6.20)? _________________ Willy Gardiol
