Has anyone managed to get sound working with LTSP on Gentoo? I have been trying for some time without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan |

I am part way there.
I looked at the following links...
http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/tutorials/4472/4/
http://ltsp.sourceforge.net/ltsp_sound_docs.txt
I have the following in
/opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf:-
[ws-cam]
XSERVER = auto
X_MODE_0 = 1152x864
# X_MODE_1 = 800x600
LOCAL_APPS = N
RUNLEVEL = 5
SOUND = Y
SOUND_DAEMON = esd # This can be 'nasd', or 'esd' at thistime
VOLUME = 100 # Speaker & WAVE volume pecentage
MIC_VOLUME = 10 # Microphone volume
CD_VOLUME = 15 # CD Audio volume
# SMODULE_01 = auto
SMODULE_01 = soundcore
SMODULE_02 = uart401
SMODULE_03 = sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1
I was becoming quite frustrated at not getting any sounds to play but all of a sudden my Evolution email notification (wav file) played and it plays every time I get an email but I have not got any other sounds to play yet though. _________________ RobFish |
