Hello,
I'm using vanilla-sources 2.6.23 (amd64; core 2 duo on a Dell Inspiron 6400 E1505; ATI Mobility 1400) and the newest fglrx driver (8.43.2) which is currently not available in portage, but on the ATI support page.

If I do suspend-to-RAM the system will suspend properly. But if I resume, the screen keeps black and the keyboard won't react on any inputs. However the system is not frozen and seems to be resumed properly, because music continues to play after resume and it is possible to shutdown the system using the power button.

I already used the 2.6.20-suspend2-sources but switched to 2.6.23 today due to some problems with 2.6.20. However suspend2 worked properly for month, but in the last weeks it got broken, too (sometimes it hung during suspend or during resume - with 2.6.23 suspending is very fast and without any crashes).

Setting "Enable VBETool" or "Enable RadeonTool" in "/etc/hibernate/ram.conf" doesn't change anything, but resuming in text mode works. However if I switch to text mode (ALT+CTRL+Fx) and run "hibernate-ram" from a text mode console, it changes anything, because the screen and keyboard got locked if I switch back to the X11 display manually (ALT+CTRL+F7).

If I try to get the vbestate, I get the following

Code:

#vbetool vbestate save

Allocated buffer at 0x20000 (base is 0x0)
ES: 0x2000 EBX: 0x0000
Speicherzugriffsfehler (same as "segmentation fault")

Rebuilding vbetool didn't change anything...

Does anybody have simillar experiences?
