I am hving a problem with crontab I think. I use 'crontab -e' and it says permission denied. I try 'crontab -l' and, permission denied, just 'crontab', permission denied. /var/spool/cron/crontabs also, I dont have permission to. Is something broken? or am I doing something wrong?

You might have to be part of the cron group. I haven't encountered any problems, because I use vcron, edit /etc/crontab directly, and only run jobs as root.
