|
|
I have partially completed the gentoo installation on a machine multiple times.
I started with the 1.2 stage1 cd, and now I'm using the 1.4_rc4.
I want it to use a gcc version of my choice for my portage compiles, so I have been playing with different ones, but each one came from portage.
The last time, I installed gcc 3.3 and cleaned all the others. Now, it seems something has turned schizo in my config files. The correct gcc is not in the path, various paths are off into some uninstalled gcc version etc.
Basically, my question is: Which config files (that make sense to change) refer to the gcc used by portage and/or the installation cd environment?
I'd love to find all of them.
Cheers,

Take a look at sys-devel/gcc-config. With this tool you can select what gcc you want to use. It also adjust your config files, if you select a different profile. _________________ Timm |

Thanks for the advice..
Something more serious was wrong though, so I eventually zapped the drive and started over.. _________________ how much for the ape? |
