Hi folks,
is it somehow possible to convert the WMP 9 series skins into Winamp skins, such that one could also use them for XMMS?
The only thing I found about WMP support or conversion in Google was that one could download the WMP 6.3 for Solaris..
Thx in advance,

You might be able to convert the WMP9 skins to Winamp 3 skins, but those could never be converted to XMMS skins, as they are a completely different kind of skins. The WMP9 and WA3-skins make a complete UI, while the XMMS skins are basically images put onto a pre-defined layout.
Sorry

Hm...That's a pity - there are awesome skins for the WMP...
Thanks for your answer, though.

does anybody know of a project that plans to add winamp 3 skin support to XMMS?
like a plugin that will use them... (kind of like the k-jofol plugin)
i would really like that , shame i'm not very good at programming yet or i'd do it myself (i'm only 15, not much time to learn with the exams, i'm thinking of starting to learnnow, when i find a language that looks the most easy) |

A such plugin would not (I think) be possible to make for XMMS, as the UI and the stuff behind the scenes are so tightly mixed. In XMMS 2, we will (hopefully) have GTK2-support along with separated engine and UI.
