wenn in der /etc/make.conf die Variable EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS mit -t gesetzt wird.

oder in die Befehlszeile noch extra -t aufnehmen (für --tree)

Das habe ich mir eingestellt

EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS="-vt --with-bdeps=y"

-t benutze ich oft, um die Ausgabe übersichtlicher zu bekommen.

d.h. im treeview zeigt er auch Pakete, die nicht neu compiliert werden? Sozusagen wegen der Vollständigkeit?

Dann ist mir das jetzt auch klar.

Jep, so das man immer schön erkennt weshalb ein bestimmtes Paket installiert wird.
