Hello,
I've got some more problems, so was wondering if anyone would be able to help at all?
I'm trying to emerge nvidia-glx and the nvidia-kernel; but it says that I need MTTU (or something) support in the kernel. So I've re-compiled my kernel (2.4.20-gentoo-r5 iirc) with support for it in, and I still get the same error?
Also, when I boot up it says that DEVFS support is not compiled into the kernel, so please do so; however I am unable to find the option for it in the filesystems part of the "make menuconfig" stage of the Linux Kernel.
Any help would greatly be appreciated,
Thank you |

Ah, I found the place where the DEVFS support is within the kernel after re-reading the docs!
Missed it the past times, however still unable to emerge the nvidia-glx and kernel due to that MTTU or whatever it is support not being enabled.. |

Do you mean MTRR?
You may also need to add AGP support. This is in the "Character devices" section of kernel config. It's labelled "/dev/agpgart (AGP support)". You will also need to select your AGP chipset. _________________ "This is a UNIX system! I know this!" -- little girl from dinasaur park |
