Hi!

I just updated from vmware-player-1.0.5 to 2.0.2 but now I experience several problems starting vmplayer.

I already tried VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK=force but now I get this error:
Code:

Thanks for your reply!
I managed to get vmware-player running. The solution was to copy libcrypto.so.0.9.7 and libssl.so.0.9.7 from VMware-player-2.0.2-59824.x86_64.tar.gz to /opt/vmware/player/lib/bin.

The only thing that does not seem to work is the file dialog for loading virtual machines, which causes the following error:
/opt/vmware/player/lib/bin/vmplayer: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/filesystems/libgnome-vfs.so: undefined symbol: g_get_user_special_dir

Many thanks. That worked for me, too.

I had been keeping a 2.6.20-8 kernel around just to boot vmware. (I might as well have rebooted my dual-boot XP/Gentoo box. :( ) Now I can use the current kernel and not reboot just to use the one Windows XP program that I need. And vmware-player-2.0.2.59824 seems considerably faster than the older vmware-player-1.0.5.56455 that I had been using under the 2.6.20-8 kernel.
