Hi,
I can't run compiz-manager, when I've tried to run it, I received this error (or I don't know if it is error, or is actually compiz-manager for configuration of compiz?):
Code: |
Checking for Xgl: not present.
No whitelisted driver found
SKIP_CHECKS is yes, so continuing despite problems.
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present.
Checking for non power of two support: present.
Checking for Composite extension: present.

I'm using xfce and starting compiz by "autostarted applications" with command compiz-manager. I m sure, it is not the best way of starting it. Could anybody help me with it?
Next issue is, when xfce is starting with black background, I have to go to "desktop preferences" and use option "allow xfce to manage the desktop" and after this, background image will appear. Why is it like that? How could I fix this issue?
Thanx to all |

ok, I did install fusion-icon, but I've got installed stable version of compiz-fusion and fusion-icon was between masked packages. Could this cause troubles? Because, now I m getting this message when I m trying to run fusion-icon
Code: |
* Detected Session: xfce

and I've got installed x11-libs/cairo, if this has something to do with message above...
Thanx for quick reply
edit:
I re-emerged pycairo and fusion icon works |
