|
|
I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, games or multimedia, but here it is.
I've just installed the alsa sound drivers but I get sound lag throughout ut2003. It's not detrimental to performance, just annoying. Other than than that, the game runs very smoothly.
Any ideas?
I have a Sound Blaster Live! and would prefer the alsa drivers to going back to the kernel and modifying it.
Thanks. |

try using openal over alsa..
had lag/speed/distortion problems with a sb audigy platinum.
installed openal, and all is good..
also i use emu10k1 as the driver in the .openalrc in the user home directory..

You can check out the cvs version here:
http://opensource.creative.com/
Copile it and copy the .so to ut2003/system as openal.so. fixes the lag problem. you can continue to load alsa sound and stuff, it works with openal. |
