tpop3d doesnt support PostgreSQL + MySQL at the same time?

I need to use tpop3d to enable login on the on the same box local PostgreSQL is installed, and at the same time, use it for authenticate accounts on a remote intranet server where a MySQL keeps the authentification tables (via a gigabit network); the problem is, in the package description of tpop3d, it says it cannot support both methods of authentification at the same time (PostgreSQL+MySQL), if is this true, is there a workaround to fix this issue, or what should I do? anyone knows of another pop3 server that would let me do this?
