Hi, all -

I just finish the gnome installing and this is my first time to use Gnome, it is new for me.

I have a question about how I can beautiful the Panel on Gnome, I saw some user had a beautiful Panel, more big icons..etc..., likes a Mac, please check the following link as a example:

http://www.gnome-look.org/CONTENT/content-pre3/71334-3.jpg

Is it a theme on gnome or I have to change some file?

Please give me some ideas or your suggestion. thanks very much.

Evan

Try kiba-dock or avant-window-navigator. I believe you can find both in xeffects overlay.
Cheers,

Wojtek

You're looking for avant-window-navigator which isn't in portage yet as far as I know.
I've been using it on my Ubuntu laptop for a while now and it's great...

Homepage can be found here

Of course you can use it. If you use a composite window manager like compiz just emerge avant-window-manager.
If you don't use it, just get xeffects overlay with layman and emerge kiba-dock.

Can you have that on KDE as well?

Not sure... but I would say you can given that KDE allows you to use Compiz as window manager.

Seems like they come from some OSX icon pack - try looking up in gnome-look.org.
Cheers,
