Hi,
I have installed avant-window-manager, but when I run avant-window-navigator I get the following error:
Error: Screen isn't composited. Please run compiz (-fusion) or another compositing manager
Do I need to install compiz first?
How can I do in gentoo?
Thx
salvo

You do not NEED Compiz. If you were to run, say, Xfce you could run AWN with no issues. You can even install the Xfce WM (xfwm4?) and run it over top of Gnome (or probably even KDE... never tried though) to use compositing. |

Also, running xcompmgr will work. _________________ Gnome:
