Hallo zusammen,
hab hier neue Hardware mit einem Mainboard von ASRock.
Im Handbuch steht was von GigbitLan und Giga PHY Realtek RTL8211B unter Netzwerk.
Leider bekomme ich mit der 2007.0 AMD64 LiveCD das Netzwerk für die Installation nicht zum Laufen.
Welches Kernelmodul muss ich denn dafür laden?
Sieht für mich so aus, als wär das ein nforce-Chipsatz.
lspci zeigt nur : | Code: | | 00:0a:0 Ethernet controller : nVidia Corporation unknown device 054c (rev a2) |
Irgendwelche Tipps?

Probier mal forcedeth.
Evtl. brauchst Du dafür auch einen neueren Kernel, dann probier mal eine andere LiveCD (Ubuntu oder Knoppix zum Beispiel).

Führ mal als root aus.
Evtl. erkennt lspci dann welche Netzwerkkarte du hast.

Knoppix geht auch nicht 
Es sagt, dass kein passender Netzwerktreiber da ist.

Der ist gut! Wie soll das gehen, wenn Netzwerk nicht geht?

Also nachdem das alles zu nix geführt her, hab ich kurzerhand ne pci-Netzwerkkarte eingebaut und darüber installiert.
Mit nem 2.6.22-suspend2-r2 Kernel läuft die onboard-Netzkarte jetzt auch. Also mal wieder zu neu die Hardware. Dabei hab ich extra auf was gängiges zum Stromsparen geachtet.
Jetzt bin ich mal gespannt, ob dieses shared-Memory-GeForce-Zeugs überhaupt läuft mit dem nVidia Treiber.
Es ist übrigens das forcedeth Modul, welches verwendet wird.

NVidia hat in letzter Zeit einige neue Chipsätze rausgebracht, daher sollte es schon 2.6.22 oder besser 2.6.23 sein.
