When trying to build dev-texlive/texlive-latex, I get this error:

Building format texmf/fmtutil/format.latex.cnf
fmtutil: format directory `/var/tmp/paludis/dev-texlive/texlive-latex-2007/work/texmf-var/web2c' does not exist.

Any ideas?
