In the docs from cvs it shows:
Device Flag Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 14 105808+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 15 81 506520 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda3 0 70 29302528 5 Whole Disk
/dev/hda4 82 3876 28690200 83 Linux
But when I do fdisk all the partiions have a "u" under the Flag column, and when I try to follow the docs and make hda1 bootable it removes the u
is this correct? Not sure if I am doing this right or not. |

Snorkel,
It's safe to ignore the flags. _________________ Blademan |

what's the purpose of the sparc-style "whole disk" partition? Is it really needed if you are doing a linux-only partition talbe on a sparc machine? |
