|
|
Fellow Gentoos,
For some reason I can't find mod_rewrite.c anywhere on my system and because of that my <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> statements don't work.
apache2ctl tells me the module is loaded though: rewrite_module (shared)
phpinfo() also tells me that mod_rewrite is loaded.
I have spend hours but can't find anything related to missing mod_rewrite.c
TIA. |

Ofcourse, here you go:
Code: | [ebuild R ] www-servers/apache-2.2.6-r5 USE="ldap ssl -debug -doc -mpm-event -mpm-itk -mpm-peruser -mpm-prefork -mpm-worker -no-suexec (-selinux) -static-modules -threads" 0 kB

Let me start by thanking you for that pointer Dagger, extremely usefull.
After reading the page I added the following to my /etc/make.conf file:
Code: | APACHE2_MODULES="rewrite" |
I then unmerged apache and emerged it again but still no mod_rewrite.c to be found anywhere on my system.
On the other hand, it seems that the file is not neccessary for rewriting after all (as long as you mention the module name in your IfModule directive) so I am happy for now.
Thanks again,
Bravo. |

I'm on 2.2.6-r6 which I think is the updated crazy module thing Portage just started for Apache. In any case I've got the following files which should be pretty close to what you have.
Code: |
www01 apache2 # grep -r write *
httpd.conf:LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
www01 apache2 # locate rewrit | grep apache2
/usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_rewrite.so
