Hi to all,
as by the object I have the persistent problem of segmentation fault. I have installed gentoo and compiled without problems both kernel and applications. By 10 days can't emerge anything and can't compile new kernels and some crashes too.
My hardware worked fine until now, didn't know later what was segmentation fault, now reading this forum I learned that may be an hardware problem, in particular caused by faulty RAM. I lanched memtest86 for 4 hours and the result is zero errors.
May be the mobo? How can I understand what is it?
Many thank by now to any reply |

Check the temperature your CPU is running at. I'd suggest lm_sensors to get a look during normaly system operation, but since you can't emerge anything you'll have to just look in the bios.
