Proftpd problem

I upgraded my proftpd server to the newest version and now I can't connect. I can't login or anything. The config file didn't change at all. Anyone know what is wrong?

Can you post log entries showing the failure?

Sorry, I'm new to proftpd, where is the default location for the log files?

I don't have proftpd installed, but look in /var/log/. There may be a proftpd.log file or a proftpd/ directory.

Nope there isn't, the error I am getting is a failed login. It doesn't like the usernames and passwords for some reason. I told it to use unix users in the proftpd group and added two users.
