i JUST installed a fresh gentoo on another box and i have portage 2.0.8. managed to emerge apache, php, sql, and other minor things without any errors.
havent tried it as a non-priv user yet though. would do so but i dont remember how to make a non-priv user anymore. i'll check on that later.
just figured i'd give everyone a heads up
