i just finished emerging GNOME 2, looks great, but i have a problem...
I emerged the nvidia-kernel and glx, and changed my XF86config file to use the new driver, however, when i start X theres a big rectangle in the bottom left hand side of the screen that is just filled with garbage (lines and stuff). I tried editing the config file and setting the driver back to the original, and suprisingly, gnome worked fine. Does anyone know how i can fix this? |

I got the same problem but I am running fluxbox though.
I got that problem after running mplayer using nvidia-kernel and glx
