The order of operations for Gentoo with a GUI is as follows:
1. Install the basic Gentoo system (no GUI).
2. Install Xorg (also known as just X).
3. Install graphics drivers (ATi or nVidia).
4. Install the window manager (WM) or desktop environment (DE), such as Gnome or KDE (or a million others).
If you need help with any of these steps, please just ask. _________________ “Truth, like infinity, is to be forever approached but never reached.” --Jean Ayres (1972)

Thanks for the help guys, I have another question.
Are the GUI's easy to customize. Like a forum skin?
Like can I design a skin for GNOME and implant it into GNOME like I can design a skin for IPB and implant it into it?
Or say WINAMP skins? |

Yes, they are. There's a theme collection for GNOME at www.gnome-look.org |

As button pointed out, they are VERY easy to customise (even Gnome-light and Xfce). Most of the themes come as a gzipped tarball which you just drop into the theme manager and it will take care of the rest. _________________ “Truth, like infinity, is to be forever approached but never reached.” --Jean Ayres (1972)
