My elite duo wireless keyboard and mouse works just fine when I am in console, but when I start x it stops working. They are plugged in on ps2. They used to be on usb and that worked fine. I just need to change them over to ps2. USB input support is still enabled in the kernel. Do I need to change that? I don't get why it works in console but not in x (I am using gnome)

Somebody please help!!! How come a ps2 keyboard/mouse wouldn't work in x but in console? Any ideas. Do I need to change something in the kernel because I had it as usb input before? |

Your XF86Config file is probably still pointing to your old USB configuration. X and the console use totally different ways of setting up the keyboard and mouse. So if it works in the console, then the obvious place to look is your X configuration. This is a fairly common problem and a quick search of these forums or USENET will find your answer. When asking for help, it is best to put as much info as possible and its even better if you search around for an answer first, chances are someone has already asked and answered. |
