I've added hald to start at boot, but all that happens is this:
* Starting Hardware Abstraction Layer daemon ... [!!]
I don't know what's wrong because it wont tell me. Is there any way to debug this? |

edit "/etc/conf.d/hald" and set
then restart hald. You now should find some information in "/var/]log/messages" |

Ah, ok.
So now I got this: http://rafb.net/p/AHU6AT72.html
I found some acpi and keypath errors, but I don't know what to do with this, or if it is related to the issue at all. |

Thanks for your help, but that is not my problem.
This is the error:
"device_info.c:274: Could not resolve keypath '@input.originating_device:info.linux.driver' on udi 'atkbd'" |

It seems like it is a problem with the atkbd driver. What does it do? |
