This isn't really a big deal, but it is driving me crazy and I have no idea how to fix it.
Whenever my cursor is on the desktop it has the "busy" pointer icon. I'm using Gnome, and I've checked around and can't figure out why. If I right click the desktop or any icons it works just fine. If I take my cursor onto the task/menu bars it becomes a regular pointer again. It is just when it is sitting on the desktop it becomes a permanent busy cursor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi!
Maybe your desktop just _is_ busy. Check for running processes with top (R is for running, S for sleeping, usually the only running process should be top itself). It's worth a shot.

I thought about that before but I didn't see anything. The only running process was top.... but the cursor was still busy |
