I'm not always... there - 404. lol... Actually I started this page but erased it when i thought i nixed the problem. I haven't though. So maybe someone could help.
I think I'm almost there but I need a little help. Heroes of Allacroft is a developing RPG that I was hoping to get involved with. When I try to install it tells me:
Code: | Could not find the lua library. Check that it is properly installed on your system |
I've already installed dev-lang/lua but I still receive the error. The documentation says I need these files:
Code: | autoreconf
OpenGL
libjpeg
libpng
SDL
SDL_mixer
Lua 5.0+ (NOT Lua 5.1+)
Luabind |
Is it possible the lua libraries it is referring to is luabind? If so, I don't see it in portage. Thanks for help in advance. _________________ • Helpful Linux Tidbits |

[ Searching for file(s) libpng in *... ]-> No Results
[ Searching for file(s) SDL in *... ]
media-libs/libsdl-1.2.11-r2 (/usr/include/SDL)
[ Searching for file(s) SDL_mixer in *... ]-> No Results

Awesome. Thanks alot mjf55.
For those who'd like to put Heroes of Allacrost on their pc, the packages needed are:
Code: | emerge --noreplace sdl sdl-mixer sdl-net openal =lua-5.0.3 autoconf-wrapper boost |
luabind isn't in portage, but can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/luabind/
luabind requires boost to build. _________________ • Helpful Linux Tidbits |
