hello there and happy new year...i've just recovered my printer from not being able to print at all but now another problem has emerged...i cannot print from ooffice...i can print the test page and even a document in kate for example but not from ooffice...it takes in the page as if it is going to print it but when the page comes out at the output of the printer nothing is printed...at the same time i'm watching the web interface from cups and under jobs i can see the task take place and be completed without any errors but still nothing is printed on the page...any ideas would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance...

Wonder if there is a specific printer setting within openoffice-options that maybe conflicting with your printer, . . . . . I dunno maybe a daft paper size, or transparency setting?

About a month ago I installed gentoo on a new box. I remember having some kind of ooffice only printing problem (I think identical to yours). The old ooffice printer admin application wasn't installed into my kde ooffice menu, but the binary is still there as /usr/lib/openoffice/program/spadmin.

I did something there to fix it - it must have been a pretty easy fix as I can't remeber exactly what I did.
