This may seem like a really stupid, unnecessary question, but i can't get glchess to start! I've emerged it properly, but have no idea where to go from here. What command do you use to open it? I am a member of 'games' group. Is it an argument you pass to gnuchess? My DE doesn't auto-detect programs, so I can't get it on a menu until I know what the command is.

Thanks very much.

First of all, did you installed glchess or gnuchess? Because it's not the same thing.
About the command......it's quite an unnecessary question because most commands have the same name of the programs they are running, so try glchess or gnuchess in your terminal, without any flags first, then if you have probs, active the help flag (-h or --help probably) or seek the man page (if they have one).
By the way, don't you have tab-completion support in your terminal's shell? It helps a lot to find commands' name.
