XGL now that xeffects is down

Hey all, trying to compile XGL however I cant pull the source from xeffects since it is now gone. Is there an alternitive yet?

Everythings setup and I have the ebuild however I get this error:

A quick search in google turned up this: http://frugalware.org/~alex/tarballs/xgl/xgl-20070105.tar.bz2

download it, and put it into /usr/portage/distfiles

Use layman and arcon-portage overlay, there you'll find xgl 20070530 version.

This thread was a big help...

zwijnzor, once you put xgl-20070105.tar.bz2 into /usr/portage/distfiles just emerge as normal. portage will find the file there and won't try to retrieve it from the broken xeffects mirror.

I trying installing that XGL and I got an toward the end of the install. Anyone else had success?
