That is the error I am running across with the stable mplayer. Is there any idea why this build is failing?
I've had problems compiling mplayer, and nothing I have been able to do has fixed things. That is one log. If someone can suggest something else, please do.

There is a bug on b.g.o. where the error message is the same as in your case: Link. Does the workaround

I was having compile issues with mplayer as well and I added -ivtv to my use flags and it seems to be compiling ok. Thanks for the tip.

I removed ivtv from my USE flags. It works fine it seems.
