For some reason, Audacious has stopped working. I think it may have happened when I started playing with ACPI, but I can't be sure. Basically, I try to play a song in Audacious, but it won't even open the file in Audacious. Audacious won't add anything to the playlist. :S

Here's some output from dmesg | tail:

Code:
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_intel.c:1186: azx_pcm_prepare: bufsize=0x10000, fragsize=0x2000, format=0x4011
ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:620: hda_codec_setup_stream: NID=0x2, stream=0x5, channel=0, format=0x4011

Is there anything in ~/.config/audacious/log?
Did you run revdep-rebuild recently?
Which versions of audacious and audacious-plugins do you use? If they are not recent, upgrade! ;-)

I did revdep-rebuild a few days ago, but it was after that, *I think* that it stopped working. I've also unmerged both the plugins and audacious and re-emerged it. Here's some interesting stuff in the log after I just tried using Audacious:

Code:

Hi,

I did some scouring on the internet, deleted my .config/audacious folder and did a reinstall of the software. works again. :) Just gotta reconfigure stuff.

I just had to delete my .config/audacious directory as well. A directory listing gave a surprise, though:
Code:
mm@hamshack ~/.config/audacious $ ll
total 2099596
-rw-r--r-- 1 mm users      10519 Jan  3 21:16 accels
-rw-r--r-- 1 mm users 2147483647 Jan  3 21:18 config
-rw-r--r-- 1 mm users     369091 Jan  4 08:17 log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mm users       5028 Jan  3 21:16 playlist.xspf
drwxr-xr-x 2 mm users       4096 Nov 12 21:17 playlists/

The config file size somehow got just a little out of hand!

Mike
